YR 7 BLAST INTO BRYNGWYN (Transition Fortnight)

When pupils arrive in Year 7 they take part in a 2 week transition project called Blast into Bryngwyn. Pupils get the opportunity to understand and develop the essential skills across each area of learning, gaining 6 badges:

Oracy-Explorer, Solution-Finder, Community-Creator, Worldwise-Learner, Healthy-Participator, Practical-Master.

FREEDOM FORTNIGHT

In Year 7,8 and 9 at several points through the year every Area of Learning comes together to explore the same big idea. This big idea is one that is central to the DNA of Bryngwyn and pupils will explore the idea through all 6 areas culminating in a showcase event to celebrate pupils progress.

Our focus this year is Courage and Curiosity.

BRYNGWYN BABY BAC

The Bryngwyn Baby Bac (B³) provides unique, exciting, cross curricular learning opportunities for pupils to develop the 4 wider skills. Learners have the opportunity to explore an overarching theme, whilst developing these skills and earning a bronze, silver or gold award. Learners complete 4 challenges over 4 days in teams to earn their baby bac award. Through these activities they will focus on developing their Planning and Organisation, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Creativity and Innovation and Personal Effectiveness.
